Minecraft buildcraft Wiki

There are literally thousands of Minecraft/Tekkit tutorials on YouTube to choose from. The problem I find with the majority of these videos is that they're way too long. For example, when I first installed Buildcraft, I wanted to build a quarry, it seems simple enough to do now, but back when I was new, I really had no idea where to start. So of course, I went to YouTube and searched for "Buildcraft Quarry Tutorial," and clicked on the first video that came up.

I don't remember the YouTuber's name, but he was a small-time YouTube partner with a small, but loyal following. His fan-base was comprised solely of Minecraft players. This video was 26 minutes long, it was complete with a 15 second intro, the first 2 minutes was him "greeting," his fans and making a whole bunch of what seemed like inside jokes that of course I didn't understand.

For the most part, this 26 minute session was one long, continuous take of him slowly going through a couple of the basic buildcraft items. I ended up skipping through, and selecting random points in the video, hoping to find some information on the Quarry. Eventually I found it, he didn't spend long on it though, he just opened up the game in creative mode, threw a Quarry down, and mentioned what it did very briefly.

I had a look at a couple of other YouTube video, I had similar experiences with them, but eventually worked it out, mostly on my own however. So that was a good 10-15 minutes trying to learn what should have been a really simple task, I could have just read the wiki 3-4 times and figured it out myself.

So pretty much, it was after that experience I've decided that the Tekkit community needs some proper online tutorials. Short, concise, to-the-point videos, only a minute or two long for each separate item. No intros, or credits or any of that, just some basic information the viewer would be looking for, and a really basic build demonstration.

I'm trying to post at least one new video a week, but I'd like to do more than that. If you've got any suggestions, just leave a comment.
