Hi, I'm the new Fandom Wiki Manager assigned to the Minecraft buildcraft Wiki.
I'll work as your contact to Fandom staff for wiki related issues. If you need help or have other questions, feel free to contact me.
I was wondering if you guys are coming out with a 1.9 version of buildcraft?

Im Blackafiq but you can call me AlphaOmega or AbyssWrath as they are my favourite nickname. I just joined this wikia late january after downloading Buildcraft.
Buildcraft itself is an interesting mod for minecraft but after getting Railcraft together with Industrialcraft in my minecraft, playing the game has never been more interesting with Buildcraft itself. Storing liquids from buildcraft pipes into railcraft iron tanks makes it more easier to store liquid in a small space rather than having a 10 blocks high tank although it comes at a price. And with industrialcraft installed also, im able to make sand out of cobblestone without having to search for sand in a grassy or dirt environment.
So in short, mods that are linked to buildcr…
I have just joined this wiki, as I enjoy using Buildcraft, and I have recently become unemployed, so I have plenty of spare time on my hands!
I am having problems posting comments or making any edits, and I wonder if you could help? I am using Chromium v23 on Linux, and whenever I try to comment/edit, the "Loading Editor" message appears, but doesn't load the editor. After searching around a bit, it either appears to be a very old bug that is now fixed, or there is something in the site's JS file that needs editing.
When I use Firefox on the same PC, it works without issue, but Firefox is my wife's, and I use Chromium to keep things separated, so I would rather use Chromium if possible.
Any help would be most appreciated.
MINECRAFT NEW CRAFTING RECIPES
People Please Make Some New Crafting Recipes.
(P.S. Please post in Comments…)
I'm sure there are thousands and thousands of people using buildcraft in everyday minecraft, but there are very little people contributing on this wiki! I think we should somehow show all the people about this wiki, and how helpful it is.
I usually don't bother with things like badges and acheivements in games etc... seeing no point in them. Annoyingly I have actually been trying to gain some on this wiki, and was up to 49 of 60 days towards the "Dedicated" badge, only to find that as my timezone is different from the server, the 26 or so hours in between two edits reset my counter... I guess my first edit was on very late Friday server time, and the second early Sunday server time, when for me it was Saturday morning, and Sunday midday.
Rather frustrating and kind of underscores my dislike of acheivements etc...
Somewhat similarly I was actually getting the Minecraft ones, but with mods such as IC2/Redpower that add acheivements the whole thing is broken and resets every tim…
The tutorials page on the wiki is quite a good resource for beginners, however it doesn't have that much content and much of that content is low quality.
So what am I doing to fix this problem?
- I am improving many tutorial pages myself.
- I have created more badges that people get when they edit pages in the tutorials category. Remember to categorise your pages people!
And how can you help?
- Create new tutorial pages.
- Add images to old tutorials.
- Clean up tutorials in the Category:Tutorials in need of improvement.
- Improve or remove tutorials in Category:Candidates for deletion.
- Answer questions in the comment pages.
There are literally thousands of Minecraft/Tekkit tutorials on YouTube to choose from. The problem I find with the majority of these videos is that they're way too long. For example, when I first installed Buildcraft, I wanted to build a quarry, it seems simple enough to do now, but back when I was new, I really had no idea where to start. So of course, I went to YouTube and searched for "Buildcraft Quarry Tutorial," and clicked on the first video that came up.
I don't remember the YouTuber's name, but he was a small-time YouTube partner with a small, but loyal following. His fan-base was comprised solely of Minecraft players. This video was 26 minutes long, it was complete with a 15 second intro, the first 2 minutes was him "greeting," his…
My mind is abuzz with all the different things that I want to build. I really do not know where to start. I am sure that there is a basic tutorial on building and construction, but I have not found it yet. My ideas range from a completely automatic farm, where all you do is plant the seed, and reap the rewards in baked goods; Bread, Cakes, Cookies. This could be a complete enclosed factory within a mall for creating and selling compleated food items.
I am sure that others have thought about this, and perhaps even built one. I need input as I am as new to this as most of you were at one time. Please think about this project over the next week andI will try to build SOMETHING!! myself. Thanks.
The short intro sequence in my LP uses various files found on freesound.org. I am not able to list them all in the YouTube video descriptions, and currently do not have a better place to put these, so for now, I am listing them here.

I have been meaning to start an LP for a while, and I have finally done it... As part of spreading the word, I'm writing my first blog here...! I would appreciate some feedback on the video, and if you are interested in watching more, please subscribe... i will be trying to upload videos on a regular basis, but with my australian internet, there may be some delays...
Here is Episode 1:
Reading and working on this wiki has been extremely inspiring. I can be a bit absent-minded at times, so I think it would be a good idea to write down my ideas - both for my own benefit and because it might inspire someone else in turn. So I'll launch right on into it!
Automatic Chicken Breeder/Grinder If there can be a singular definition for "cruel and unusual punishment", I think this must be it. Chickens are wonderful creatures, in Minecraft. Unlike any other passive mob, they reproduce by two separate methods. You can feed a pair of them Wheat, setting them into breeding mode, or you can gather their eggs and... "hatch" them. The second method, being their unique feature, can be automated.
Step 1: Breeding Chickens can be placed into a …
Over the past few weeks - the amount of quality edits on the wiki has considerably dropped off. I know this is to be expected as a wiki nears completion - but the wiki is not done. There are still lots more pages to be made for buildcraft 3 and there are many many improvements still to be done.
If you can find out any more things - please spare a moment of your time to add them and clean up the wiki. :) Please?
The wiki is also running very low on images. Anything buildcraft 3 related would be very good.
i was wondring about buildcraft 3...
why are some pages about stuff thats only on buildcraf 3, + some pages are not updated yet?
I'm seeing references being made to BC 3, 3.1 etc which has not been released yet (currently in Beta). This has already caused some confusion in the comments. Perhaps this Wiki should only refer to the current released version of BC?
Secondly, how about a community project page? I've been wrestling with the creation of a FULLY automatic tree farm that uses only BC - no other mods allowed. I've disovered how to automatically reset and change templates in Builders. I've been TRYING to invent a low-profile, effective drop gathering system using powered obsidian pipes - no water or pistons - but every attempt becomes an increasingly silly looking CPU hog. I'm sure others out there have discovered all sorts of efficient and cunning way…
I'm running out of blog posts to comment on so I can get my achievement! Maybe that's not so important though... But if you're reading this post, can you make another blog post? Thanks!
I created a page: Mining Pipe. It's epic! I'm currently building the farm described in it in SSP, so I can post pictures of all of the steps.
